D4D Announces Coleman Foundation Grant

D4D Announces Coleman Foundation Grant

Devices 4 the Disabled is excited to announce that The Coleman Foundation has awarded us a very generous grant. This grant will allow us to build out space in our Ed Kane Center to open a seating and positioning center. Access to mobility hardware is great, but it has to fit the occupant. A good seating system prevents injury and further loss of mobility while enhancing breathing and digestion and maximizing functionality. Experts at our seating and positioning center will evaluate those in need and create specialized solutions such as backrests, cushions and arm and leg supports to fit each individual. When opened, sometime in 2019, we will be the only free seating and positioning center for those in need in the entire Chicago area. We would like to thank all those at The Coleman Foundation for enabling Devices 4 the Disabled to realize Ed Kane’s dream.
